We who believe in Islam all want to go to heaven after death. We perform all kinds of worship to go to heaven. Allah Almighty has clearly stated in the Holy Quran what actions a servant will perform to get heaven in the afterlife. We will now see which Surahs and verses of the Holy Quran contain the descriptions of going to heaven.

The Holy Quran places great emphasis on belief in one God, belief in the Hereafter, and good deeds as conditions for attaining Paradise. It also gives a list of good deeds in verse 177 of Surah Al-Baqarah.

لَیۡسَ الۡبِرَّ اَنۡ تُوَلُّوۡا وُجُوۡهَكُمۡ قِبَلَ الۡمَشۡرِقِ وَ الۡمَغۡرِبِ وَ لٰكِنَّ الۡبِرَّ مَنۡ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ وَ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَۃِ وَ الۡكِتٰبِ وَ النَّبِیّٖنَ ۚ وَ اٰتَی الۡمَالَ عَلٰی حُبِّهٖ ذَوِی الۡقُرۡبٰی وَ الۡیَتٰمٰی وَ الۡمَسٰكِیۡنَ وَ ابۡنَ السَّبِیۡلِ ۙ وَ السَّآئِلِیۡنَ وَ فِی الرِّقَابِ ۚ وَ اَقَامَ الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اٰتَی الزَّكٰوۃَ ۚ وَ الۡمُوۡفُوۡنَ بِعَهۡدِهِمۡ اِذَا عٰهَدُوۡا ۚ وَ الصّٰبِرِیۡنَ فِی الۡبَاۡسَآءِ وَ الضَّرَّآءِ وَ حِیۡنَ الۡبَاۡسِ ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِیۡنَ صَدَقُوۡا ؕ وَ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَ ﴿۱۷۷

It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the east or the west, but righteousness is that who believes in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Books and the Prophets and spends wealth out of love for Him to relatives and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and those in need and to free slaves and establishes prayer and gives zakah and fulfills the covenant and is patient in hardship and suffering and in struggle. It is they who are the truthful and it is they who are the righteous.
